Technical Manager

£50000.00 - £60000.00 per annum plus benefits package

Constructive Moves are collaborating with a privately-owned, regional housebuilder to source a Technical Manager to join this award-winning business that prides themselves on their bespoke, high-end properties in and around the Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Surrey regions.

As Technical Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all technical information is produced, checked, and distributed to programmes, the correct quality and within budget to enable effective sub-contract procurement and build programmes to be met.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate and review drawings to ensure these are practical and economic and consult and value engineer for improvements to cost/time reductions/design.
  • Ensure adherence to Building Regulations / NHBC and any other relevant professional body we normally interface with during the project's development.
  • Identify and resolve design and building problems.
  • Prepare and submit information for the discharge of planning conditions.
  • Agree build sequence and obtain service information and quotations, including all temporary building supplies and disconnections required for the project in good time to ensure construction build programme is delivered, including requesting and placing orders.

Assistant Technical Manager

£40000 - £50000 per annum plus benefits package

Engineer

£40000 - £50000 per annum plus benefits package

Constructive Moves are recruiting for an Engineer to join a PLC housing developer based within the Northern Home Counties region to cover sites within Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

This role is varied and you would play a critical role in the design of the developments. With involvement in multi-disciplinary aspects of the development process, and with the technical teams based in-house, this gives you the opportunity to see your designs being created/implemented in the built environment.

Duties:
*Preparation of detailed designs for development infrastructure, including site layouts, highways, services, drainage, foundations and legal plans.
*Manage own development projects and coordinate the process at all stages
*Preparation, submission and closing out of relevant applications inc S278/38, S104/106, Building Regulations and Planning Conditions
*Visit site throughout the design and build process to support on technical queries and see the progression of development

Requirements:
*Hold a Civil Engineering degree is desirable, or equivalent in working experience
*Substantial experience gained within the role of an Engineer, with a consultancy background or housebuilder with in-house design
*Experience of creating detailed designs of infrastructure, foundations, highways, drainage and external work in housing developments
*IT skills including knowledge of packages as Microsoft, AutoCAD, PDS and FLOW (or similar)

A national PLC developer known for building traditional housing schemes across the UK are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to cover housing developments across the Cambridgeshire and East Anglia region.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will report into the Commercial Manager who will allocate schemes to manage which will range in size.

In your role you will be expected to carry out the following duties:

  • assisting in all financial aspects of the projects
  • valuations
  • measurements
  • cost reports
  • attending meetings
  • ensuring that adequate cost monitoring and management is undertaken.
  • co-ordinate and agree the final accounts with various parties.
  • ensure that project approvals and completions can be obtained at the required times.


This role would suit applicants who have held a surveying role within the residential sector in either a house builder or contractor and are focused on managing all commercial aspects of a project.
