Reporting to the Commercial Director role will be to assist the project team with commercial functions on a number of current prestigious projects. Duties will include:
Required Attributes and Experience
The ideal Quantity Surveyors will have a minimum of 5 years practical gained within a suitable specialist sub-contractor and preferably with experience of curtain walling, cladding, glazing and roofing. Ideally you will have worked on re-clad projects already, but Quantity Surveyors who have worked with main contractors or other specialist sub-contractors will be considered if they are an adapt and capable Quantity Surveyor keen to gain experience in cladding and facade systems or working with a specialist sub-contractor on large build projects.
You will have a focused attitude, and excellent communication skills and must be able to work as part of a team and possess a high level of motivation. Ideally you will also have a degree or equivalent qualification.

Projects range from small works packages between £100k-£200k and larger projects up to £2.5m in value; all involving exciting transformations for our clients and the opportunity to create modern spaces where people can work well together.
You will be an experienced contractor's estimator, with at least 5 years' experience with a suitable sub-contractor or a fit out contractor working within the commercial and education sectors. You will also preferably have some professional qualifications.

With an extensive portfolio of works including industrial, commercial and public projects with typical contracts varying from £500K through to £3m, they seek a key member of the management team. Projects include partitions, dry lining and passive fire protection works. This Site Management position requires excellent communication and management skills to co-ordinate input from each department, to maximise the efficiency and add value to the project. You will be able to plan activities safely, having direct responsibility for all activities carried out on site and must be able to implement the business management system procedures and provide a professional approach to all aspects of the project.
Reporting to the Contracts Manager your duties will be to take full operational responsibility for the site including making every effort to ensure that works proceed in a safe manner and that all employees adopt the "Don't walk by" attitude to ensure the site is a safe place for everyone to work. You will need to be fully conversant with the following: contract documents including correspondence; understand and interpret drawings; reporting; record keeping and project reviews.
The ideal Site Manager will have c10 years experience working on construction sites. Must have product and delivery knowledge, specifically dry lining and passive fire systems. Ideally you will be HND qualified in a construction or engineering related discipline with a CSCS Managers card and a relevant First Aid certificate. Preferably you will be computer literate with programming and planning experience, have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work without supervision and to use your own initiative and experience to fulfil the company's commitments.
